The Big Egg Hunt
Sculpture for Charity Auction hosted by The Elephant Family
Beyond Mowgli was created as part of The Big Egg Hunt, a public art exhibition featuring 100 artist-designed eggs displayed across London for Easter. Organized in collaboration with the Elephant Family, this project aimed to raise funds for the conservation of South Asian forests and endangered species through a public and private auction.

My piece draws from deeply from my personal style of illustration which aims to challenge anthropocentric views and memories from childhood. Journeys through the Sahyadri hills and the lush forests of Madhurai with my father, a passionate wildlife enthusiast and camper. These adventures weren’t just travel experiences; they were early encounters with the raw beauty and magic of the natural world.
Beyond Mowgli is a tribute to South Asia’s rich and diverse wildlife. The layered illustration style evokes the depth and density of the forest, inviting viewers to explore and get lost in its textures. My signature grainy strokes and vibrant palette bring to life the harmony of flora and fauna coexisting in these endangered ecosystems.
This egg is more than just a visual journey, it's a celebration of nature, memory, and myth. It’s also a quiet call to action: to protect the intricate, beautiful wild worlds thats entangled within ours yet often overlooked and taken for granted. It highlight the utmost necessity of the survival of the wildlife for the survival of the ecosystem, the planet and ultimately the most highly placed, the human kind.
Some of the video clips included were not filmed or created by me. I do not own the rights to this footage, these are used solely for display and documentation purposes.
The Egg Hunt campaign successfully raised £159,516 in 2025, and “Beyond Mowgli” was auctioned for £653.
