Seed The Joy

Campaign and Packaging Design, 2023

"Seed the Joy" was a Diwali (festival of lights ) campaign that I got the opportunity to work on while being a graphic designer at Ugaoo.  The primary goal of our campaign was to revolutionize traditional gifting during the festive season. Instead of conventional gifts, we aimed to inspire the customers and clients to sow the seeds of joy, prosperity, and health by choosing plants from Ugaoo.

About Museum of Solutions (Mumbai) -

"The Museum of Solutions empowers children to build a better world together through hand's on experiences based on the real world

"Muso believes every child is unique, learns differently and has immense potential to build a better future. They experiment with diverse methodologies to ensure all of them think, imagine and create to the best of their abilities"

The aim was to adapt and incorporate these ideologies in the project to allow for an enhanced and enriched play-and-learn experience.

MuSo encourages children to question everything, voice their ideas freely and advocate for themselves, others, and their future. From solving issues that affect the world to developing impactful tools, MuSo is an inclusive space where children are inspired to be critical thinkers, innovators and problem-solvers.

Of the world we live in, 71% is covered by water- yet it is of the most unexplored parts of our planet. Water is where life was born and water is one of the main reasons we continue to survive. Water plays such an impactful and influential role in our lives, yet we forget to be mindful of the impact we have on it.

This project is based around the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal of the protection of "Life Below Water", and in collaboration with the Museum of Solution's (MuSo) ideologies of play and learn.

The artefact hopes to bring the world below water to the Museum and allows the children to engage with it and build a connection through collaboration.

Coral reefs provide an important ecosystem for life underwater, protect coastal areas by reducing the power of waves hitting the coast, and provide a crucial source of income for millions of people.

Over the years, the varied global changes in ocean temperature and acidification, with local pressures such as pollution, overfishing and declining water quality, has led to changes and damages to the reefs that could become irreversible within the next few decades.

Coral reefs provides home to diverse life. Thousands of species can be found living on one reef. Coral reefs have an estimated global value of £6 trillion each year, due in part to their contribution to fishing and tourism industries and the coastal protection they provide.

More than 500 million people worldwide depend on reefs for food, jobs and coastal defense. The ridges in coral reefs act as barriers and can reduce wave energy by up to 97%, providing crucial protection from threats such as tsunamis. They help protect areas such as mangrove forests and seagrass beds that act as nurseries for marine animals, as well as human coastal populations.

Like any ecosystem, coral reefs can withstand and adapt to certain impacts. But the combination of multiple stresses of global changes in ocean temperature and acidification, with local pressures such as pollution, overfishing and declining water quality, has led to changes that could become irreversible within the next few decades. One of the biggest problems faced by the coral reef ecosystem is coral bleaching, the process of dying of the corals.
